                                             “Nehemiah revisited”

I. The Holy Spirit is faithful to keep that which we

A. Nehemiah

the commitments the people have made to the Lord.

  2. Sometimes we need the rebuke of the H.S. to get us back on track.

  3. The bible says that God “chastens those He loves.

II. Final review of the book of Nehemiah.

a. Chapter 1 – the concern of the Comforter
b. Chapter 2 – provision and patience of the Comforter.
C. Chapter 3 – the Comforter teaches interdependence (union)— you cannot do it alone.
d. Chapter 4 – learning to resist the adversary (battle) this is where I learn to appropriate the things that Jesus has bought for me
e. Chapter 5 – overcoming obstacles of restoration (overcome)
f. Chapter 6 – keeping the “flow of the Spirit” (contend)
g. Chapter 7 – accepting responsibilities as we grow ( maturity)
h. Chapter 8 – receiving the word without condemnation (liberty)
i. Chapter 9 – confession and consecration (remember)
j. Chapter 10 – covenanting to be faithful (commitment)
k. Chapter 11 – living in the city (reestablish)
l. Chapter 12 – worship and dedication securing the walls (worship)
m. Chapter 13 – the Comforter’s correction unto covenant (rejoice)
