June 7, 2025

Scripture:

2 Timothy 3:16-17 - *New King James Versions- “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” *

2 Timothy 3:16-17- The Message Bible- “There’s nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us”

Inspiration of Scripture - the supernatural influence of the Holy Spirit on the writers of the scripture.
Inerrancy- the doctrine of the bible is fully truthful in all its teachings. It is without errors and a reliable document when it refers to matters of faith

Devotional Studies:

Monday- Psalm 119:105 ESV-Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Like a lamp lighting up a path at night, Scripture helps us navigate decisions, challenges, and confusion.
Are there areas in your life where you need God’s light to guide your next steps?

Tuesday – *James 1:22 ESV-But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. *
It’s not enough to just listen to or read God’s Word—we must live it out. When we put God’s Word into practice, it transforms us and allows our faith to make a real impact—in our lives and in the lives of others.
Are there areas where you know what God says, but haven’t yet applied it?

Wednesday- *Hebrews 4:12 ESV-For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow. *
Engaging with Scripture isn’t just about gaining knowledge—it’s about letting God search and shape your heart.
What is God revealing in me today through His Word?

ThursdayRomans 15:4 ESV-For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
Ultimately, the Word gives us hope—a confident expectation rooted in God’s faithfulness.
In what ways can you lean on God’s Word for strength and hope today?

Friday- Matthew 4:4 ESV-But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
Physical food sustains our bodies, but God’s Word sustains our souls and spirit.
How often do you “feed” your spirit with God’s Word each day?
