Flip the switch
Flip your Perspective
Colossians 3:1-4

Perspective is, “The capacity to view things in their (

) relations or relative importance.” Do we see things as they really are and as important as they truly are?

We understand what being heavenly minded is not:

Being (

) and distant from your family and close friends in order to constantly pursue “spiritual things”

(

) to take care of your family or basic responsibilities that are needed to survive. (1 Timothy 5:8)

Being (

) and forgetful

Being (

) late to appointments, work and important things because you are busy praying or doing “spiritual things”

Here are 6 ways to keep a heavenly perspective.

Is to (

) in the understanding that as Christians we are citizens in heaven. (Philippians 3:20)

The understanding of our position as children of God (changes) everything!
They will notice that we actually have access to the resources of our homeland (heaven) everywhere we go.

Think (

) Picture to See God’s Way (Isaiah 46:9b-11)

God has a heavenly (purpose) for events we watch play out on earth. (Romans 11:33)

(

) Away Distractions for a Heavenly Focus

(Identify) the top 3 sources that most often hijack your perspective.
(Take) an inventory of information sources where you subscribe.
(Consider) only keeping subscriptions with a heavenly perspective.
(Create) a list of simple boundaries to practice keeping your perspective heavenly.
(Ask) God to make you aware of distractions from His perspective. (Isaiah 55:8-9)

(

) Earthly Things to Heavenly Truth (James 4:14-15)

(Truth) puts life’s parts into perspective—God’s perspective.

Pray for (

) of Earthly Issues (Psalm 103:14, James 1:5, Proverbs 19:21)

God hasn’t left us to muddle through as mankind (without) giving us insider access to His heavenly ways of seeing our lives.

The final one is Set Your Mind to (

) Straight (Colossians 3:2, 2 Timothy 2:4, Romans 8:28).

We can keep a heavenly perspective about earthly things by (

) our minds to God’s truth.
