READ: Exodus 27.16-18

1. Why do we tend to find it difficult to come to God on his terms?
2. What do you find most challenging about the truth that Jesus is the way to God? Have you wrestled with this issue?
3. Do you know anyone who is trying to get to God without Jesus? What can this look like?
4. Are you glad that God doesn’t force us into relationship with him?
5. Have you had a time when God felt far away? Since God is actually always close, what do you think this feeling of separation and distance came from?
6. Why do we tend to feel the need to clean up before we come to God?

PRAY

Lord, thank you for the tabernacle and for the picture it provides of Christ. Thank you that you are available to us…that Christ made a way, the way to you, despite our sin.
