Daniel 1-6
Crucible - describes a situation of severe trial or when different elements interact, leading to the creation of something new.
Daniel was Connected to God.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. —Psalms 18:2
God has designed us to be weak!
“May God weaken us so that I can come to the end of myself and allow you to be my strength”. —J.I. Packer
“We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.” —2 Cor. 4:7
“God is always found at the end of your rope.” —Dallas Willard
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere…” —Acts 1:8
“So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” —2 Cor. 12:9
“This is my command-be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” —Joshua 1:9
