Blessings in His Name - Rom 8:32
June 4, 2023
best, most important, most amazing blessing in the Name of Jesus is salvation… God gave up what was most precious to Him so we could have that freely…
John 1:12… “gave right to become children… to those who believe in His Name…”
Acts 4:12… “no other Name given to people by which we must be saved…”
Rom 6:23… “the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord…”
Rom 10:13… “everyone who calls upon the Name of the Lord will be saved…”
Eph 2:8-9… “by grace you have been saved… it is a gift of God…”
1John 5:13… “those who believe in the Name will have eternal life…”
like to talk sports, watch sports, play sports… older I get, the better I was… some of my sports equipment is very special… if God gave what He loved most so we could be blessed… all other blessings are given freely as well…
Rom 8:15-32… “received Spirit of adoption, now we call Him, Abba, Father… HS testifies we are God’s children… heirs of God, co-heirs with Christ… He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all… how will He not also with Him freely give us all things…”
baptisms are a blessing… family, water, Spirit… family is HS in you… Spirit is you immersed in Him… normal… empowers you to do more than you imagine… pray…
Luke 3:16… “He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire…”
Acts 1:3-8… “baptized with HS… receive power when Holy Spirit comes on you…”
Gal 5:16-26… “walk by the Spirit and you won’t carry out the desires of the flesh… HS produces love, joy, peace, patience… follow His leading in every part of life…”
Eph 3:20… “do above and beyond what we ask or think… by power within us…”
Eph 5:17-20… “understand what God wants you to do… be being filled with HS…”
Let us never rest until we know by experience the baptism of the Spirit. The baptism of water is a great privilege. But let us see to it that we also have the baptism of the Holy Spirit. —J.C. Ryle
why is this important… because we often miss blessings that are already paid for… simply because of ignorance and unbelief… complete inheritance is yours freely…
Hos 4:6… “My people are destroyed by lack of knowledge… rejected knowledge…”
Matt 17:14-23… “why could we not cast demon out… because of your unbelief…”
Mark 6:6; 16:14… “He was amazed at their unbelief… He rebuked their unbelief…”
Luke 24:13-35… “how foolish and slow you are to believe… things about Me…”
2Cor 4:3-6… “satan blinded minds of those who don’t believe… they don’t understand…”
Eph 2:7… “immeasurable riches of His grace thru His kindness in Christ…”
Eph 4:18… “excluded from life of God… by ignorance… blindness of their heart…”
You can learn a lot by looking up every scripture in the NT in relation to His Name. It’s enlightening. It’s thrilling. It’s enthralling. It’s faith-building. It’s instructive. It would change our lives if we made an exhaustive study of the resources of Jesus in order to get a measure of the wealth that Name holds for the Church and every believer today. —Kenneth Hagin
in simplest form… unbelief is just disobedience to God’s word…
Heb 3:12-19… “beware an evil heart of unbelief… departing from God…”
Heb 4:6-11 KJV… “they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief… labor to enter rest… lest any fall after the same example of unbelief…”
CSB… “those who received good news did not enter because of disobedience… make effort to enter rest… so no one will fall into same pattern of disobedience…”
easy to know when unbelief is present… always accompanied by fear, doubt, worry, anxiety… red flags you’re in unbelief… trusting world, not word…
Deut 28:66… “you shall hang in doubt… fear day and night… have no assurance of life…”
Job 3:25… “what I always feared has happened… what I dreaded came true…”
Phil 4:6… “do not worry about anything…”
1Pet 5:7… “cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you…”
what’s the cure for unbelief… words of Jesus… witness of others… ask God… hear for yourselves… finding out who Jesus really is… signs and wonders… word of God… continuous hearing… test the spirits…
Gen 45:26-28… “not believe… told him what Joseph had said… he believed…”
Isa 43:10… “you are my witnesses… that you may know and believe Me…”
Mark 9:24… “I do believe… help my unbelief…”
John 4:39-42… “believed because of what He said… heard for ourselves…”
John 9:35-38… “who is he, Sir, that I may believe in Him…”
John 10:38… “if you don’t believe Me… believe the works…”
John 20:31… “these things are written so you may believe… and have life…”
Rom 10:14-17… “how can they believe without hearing…”
1John 4:1… “do not believe every spirit… test the spirits to see if from God…”
Prayer
prayer is a blessing in His Name… when you pray… do you really expect anything to happen… do you agree with what you prayed… not just in our head, but in our heart… easy to just repeat words… do you agree no matter what you see…
Matt 18:19-20… “if two of you agree about anything you ask… it will be done by My Father… where two are three are gathered… I am with them…”
Rom 10:9-10… “it is with your heart that you believe…”
2Cor 4:8-18… “I believed, therefore I have spoken… walk by faith, not sight…”
1Thess 2:13… “word of God works effectively in you who believe…”
most of us end our prayers like this… in Jesus Name, amen… but the question is… do we really believe we have power and authority in that Name…
John 16:23-24… “anything you ask the Father in My Name, He will give you… until now, you have asked for nothing in My Name… ask and you will receive…”
Eph 1:20-23… “exercised this power in Christ by raising him from the dead… seating Him at God’s right hand… far above every ruler and authority… for the benefit of the church…”
this key unlocks my car… not me, I just use it… no other key will do… key to prayer is the Name of Jesus… only thing that accesses the Father…
Rom 8:34… “Jesus is at right hand of God and intercedes for us…”
1Tim 2:5… “one God and one mediator between God and man… Christ Jesus…”
Heb 7:25… “He is able to save completely… always lives to intercede for us…”
1John 2:1… “if anyone sins… we have an advocate with the Father… Jesus…”
His death guarantees us the inheritance… His resurrection guarantees us the power… His Name guarantees us the answer to our prayers… pray…
2Cor 1:20… “every one of God’s promises is Yes in Him… so, we say amen…”
