“Anyone with an arrogant attitude is disgusting to the Lord. Be sure of this: That person will not go unpunished.” — Proverbs 16:5 / EHV
1
James 4:11-12 / ESV, “Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. 12 There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?”
Arrogant and proud with others:
First Samuel 2:3 / TLB, “Quit acting so proud and arrogant! The Lord knows what you have done, And he will judge your deeds.”
Arrogant and proud with God:
Jeremiah 48:29-30 / ESV, “We have heard of the pride of Moab— he is very proud— of his loftiness, his pride, and his arrogance, and the haughtiness of his heart.”
Let love guide me:
Romans 12:10 / ESV, Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.
First Corinthians 13:4 / ESV, “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant.”

James 1:14-15/ ESV, “James 4:13-16 / ESV, Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— 14 yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. 15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.”
Matthew 6:10 / ESV, “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
First Thessalonians 5:18 / ESV, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
Hebrews 10:36 / ESV, “For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.”

James 4:17 / ESV, “So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.”
Acts 24:16 ESV, “So I always take pains to have a clear conscience toward both God and man.”
