The Deliverer A Foreshadowing of the Seed Exodus 3

From the descendants of Abraham, God chooses His deliverer to protect the godly line of the promise Seed. God predetermined that the nation of Israel would be held in bondage by the Egyptians for His sovereign will to take place. Four hundred plus years of bondage was all part of the plan of God. The plight of Israel in Egypt is analogues to being in bondage to sin. This is a clear picture of humanity; for just as Moses was the deliverer of God’s people Israel, so to Jesus the Christ would be the deliverer of all in the world who would believe on Him. Moses’ deliverance was limited to Israel, Jesus deliverance extends to the entire world.
