New series begins today:

This series is designed to open your heart to all that God has for you this Easter.

Jesus announces the time for his

has come (vv. 20-23, 27).
Jesus is troubled, but trusting.

Questions +

= Distance from God.

Questions + = Communion with God.

God

Jesus’ announcement (vv.28-29).

Jesus explains the purpose of his death (vv. 30-33).

  1. It means

    on this world.
One’s eternity will be decided on the basis of one thing, and one thing only: What did you do with Jesus?

  2. It means

    will be driven out.
While the cross would seem to be Satan’s biggest triumph, in fact, it was his ultimate defeat.

  3. It means Jesus will draw

    to himself.
People from all nations will be offered salvation and healing from the deadly poison of sin. All they need to do is look to him for it (Numbers 21).

Jesus illustrates the impact of his death

Lessons from the kernel/seed analogy (vv. 24-26)
The principle: Real life

through death.

To grab hold of the life he provides, you must

on your own life (surrender).

Lessons from the light analogy (vv.34-36)
1. Jesus is the light.
2. He will only be

(2 Cor. 6:2; 2 Peter 3:9).

3. Without his light, you will walk in darkness.
4. Believe in him while you have the chance.
5. When you believe, you (Ephesians 1).

How have you responded to Jesus’ offer of real life?
