Fruits of the Spirit
Galatians 5:13-26
“KINDNESS”
The fifth fruit of the Spirit is

The Kindness We
.
A
compassion and respect for the humanity of others that moves us to act and speak in ways that build them up and care for them well. (Ephesians 4:31-32)
The Kindness of
. (Titus 3:4-5)
When God provided a means of
through Jesus Christ, He did it with a heart of kind tenderness for His sons and daughters.
God’s kindness doesn’t stop there though. He continues to
our souls (Psalm 23:3). He continues to provide
for us emotionally and spiritually in good and bad times (Matthew 23:37; Psalms 17:8; Psalm 61:4; Psalm 36:7). God is the Good Shepherd who protects and
with unending kindness (Psalm 23).
How can I show
to those around me?
Act like
healed the
(Mark 10:46-52), the
(John 4:46-54), a
woman (Luke 8:43-48), and even spent the time
to outcasts about eternal life (John 4:1-45). He also had
on giant crowds (Mark 6:34).
At the core of Jesus’ kindness was a desire to reinforce the inherent

Saying “
” Isn’t Automatically Unkind (Matthew 5:37)
Being
into acts of kindness is not okay.
Even Jesus Had
(Mark 1:35-39, John 6:1-59.)
Being kind is
always easy.
As Christians, we have the Holy Spirit to help us enact
kindness too. (Matthew 7:7; Luke 6:35, Ephesians 4:32
There are three main culprits: 1.

Three practices in particular help me become kinder. 1.
in God’s Word. 2.
. 3.
to God’s rules. No act of kindness is
wasted. (Romans 8:32).
