1. What is your reaction to Jesus telling Christians that they will suffer? How do you prepare for that? Do you find any comfort in knowing Jesus was persecuted, too?

2. Are you willing to associate with Jesus, even if it means you could lose your job, be thrown in jail, be harmed, or even killed?

3. Have you ever been persecuted for standing up for Jesus? Share about that experience.

4. How much would it mean to you if you received a personalized letter from Jesus in the midst of your hardship?

5. How often do you think about the “crown of life” that Jesus promises? How does that motivate you?
