SMALL GROUP GUIDE
Welcome
Weekly Vision Casting This week we are beginning our prayer initiative called All for One—all of us coming together to pray and reach the ones that God has put on our hearts. As we get ready for our building Grand Opening on December 5th, we have a unique opportunity to reach our community and we want to be good stewards through prayer and invitation.
Neighborhood Prayer Walks are still happening this week. Grab a packet of doorhangers from church and prayer walk your own neighborhood or an assigned neighborhood.
Prayer All-Nighter December 4th @ 6pm – December 5th @ 8pm. Come anytime and spend time praying in the Worship Center for the lost in our community and for all those who have been invited to our Grand Opening.

SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS
WARM UP: What is something nonspiritual that you recently tried to persuade someone about and how did you go about it (could be funny or serious)? [Today we are going to look at some of what the Bible teaches about persuading others to put their faith in Jesus.]
HEAD: These questions help us examine the Word.
1. Word Study on Persuade. Assign each of the following verses for a small group member to read: Acts 17:1-4, 18:4, 18:8, 19:8, 1 Cor 2:4, 2 Cor 10:10, 2 Cor 5:11. In your own words, what Paul’s perspective was on persuading others to put their faith in Jesus?
HEART: These questions help us wrestle with what we believe.
2. Are you uncomfortable with the idea of persuading others? Why or why not?
3. How does the biblical idea of persuading others about Jesus change or challenge your view of sharing your faith?
4. Out of the “off-ramps” that Pastor Peter mentioned, which do you most identify with?
5. Share about a time when someone persuaded you in the right way about a spiritual truth.
HAND: These questions help us bring truth and beliefs into our everyday life.
6. Take a minute and write down the names of a few people in our community that God is putting on your heart—people that you could be praying for this week. Break up into groups and share about your list and spend a good amount of time praying for those God has put on your hearts.
