• What’s your impression of the film maker’s version?

2 ) Read Luke 15:1-2. How would you describe the Pharisees’ attitudes? Have you ever found yourself viewing people (“sinners and tax collectors”) in such ways?

3 ) In response to the Pharisees, Jesus tells three parables. Read Luke 15: 3-32. Why do you think Jesus tells three stories? What are the common themes?

4 ) Who is the younger son in the third story? Who is the older son?

5 ) What does the story of the lost son tell us about God?

6 ) If we realize what Jesus teaches about God in these stories, what should be our personal response to the Father? What should be our response to other people?
