So If God knows what I need before I even ask for it why should I pray?
Answer - Prayer lets God in by

4 Points to why we should Pray
1. We choose to have a relationship with God
2. Prayer establishes a prioritized relationship with God
Luke 18:1 NKJV
Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose
heart,
God does not answer Prayer that does not line up with HIS

Then the seventy returned with joy, say
ing, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”
Luke 10:18 NKJV
And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
Luke 10:19 NKJV
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of
the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Luke 10:20 ESV
Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
- To use our Spiritual Authority!
Genesis 1:26 NKJV
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Be hold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

God is not going to do for us what he already gave us the authority to do!

pray without ceasing, Prayer gives us a glimpse of the
future or direction!
4 Points to why we should Pray
1. We choose to have a relationship with God

Why would someone not Pray?
Luke 18:1 NKJV

Translation is don’t turn coward - or don’t give up!
There are 2 reasons people stop praying
1. They got Carnal
Like skipping church once - it get easier the 2nd time
Like skipping the gym - it gets easier to skip the second time
I get it - I have been there
Don’t be frustrated - I have Pastor friends that have a poor prayer
- They got Mad
They prayed and nothing happened
I hear this all the time-
Well, I prayed for a whole 2 minutes last night that my co worker-who I know is Satan’s mistress would get hit by a buss on the way to work this morning, and guess what? She showed up on time just like she always
does -See there Is God not answering my Prayers again!
God does not answer Prayer that does not line up with
HIS
Ok-clearly this person does not understand what prayer is or how it works! Thats ok because we are going to cover how to pray real soon!
Here is another reason people turn Coward, get mad and stop praying.
Sometimes we can get really whinny-I mean even I have had a few pitty parties during my prayer time-Oh God that mean ole Satan has done it again- He has attacked me and my family, and my finances and I just don’t know what to do - Life is so unfair -If you really loved me you would just come fix all of this for me…..

3. To use our Spiritual Authority!

Look at this What Authority did God give us
ALL over everything
Every Creeping thing that creeps
God was warning us about Satan!
Now Adam and Eve lost that Authority but Jesus got it back for us
Lets look back at Luke
Luke 10:19 NKJV
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Authority over all
All of the power of the enemy!
Look at this
Matthew 16:19 NKJV
And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth
will be loosed in heaven.”
In other words, what we allow is what will happen
If we allow Satan to kick our front door down, he will
It time we use the delegated authority in our life!
› When I am praying for my boys I pray that the spirit of rebellion is bound and I remind Satan that he has no authority over my family, That Gods angles are encamped around my family and that I have power over the enemy and nothing will hurt them!
All of that to say this.
God is not going to do for us what he already gave us the authority to do!

not every prayer has to be 3 hours
Some need to be longer
Jesus Prayed for hours
Why did Jesus pray for hours?
He needed Direction
Example Jesus prayed before he had to chose the 12 disciples.
