Psalms 44:6-8 - Trusting God In Your Work
* It takes faith to trust God when you have

options.
* It also takes faith to trust God when you have of options.
* When you go through lean times, your trust in God.
* When you go through abundance, your trust in God.
* Two things can make us successful:
* is God-given - we’re born with it.
* is Me-driven - I work for it.
* When you increase in both of these, good things happen.
* Vs 6 (NASB) - “For I WILL NOT put my trust in my bow, nor will my sword save me…”
* Bow - long-range weapon
* Making wise financial decisions for your .
* Sword - short-range weapon
* Making wise financial decisions for your .
* David “ ” weapons but “ ” God.
* He used the tools/weapons he needed but He trusted God for the results.
* Vs 7-8 - David saw through is own ability (talent & skill) to God’s authority!
* What did He do?
* He got bossy with his soul. How?
* 1) He made up his - it was a prior decision.
* 2) He set his - take thoughts captive.
* 3) He reset his - moved from emotional to transactional.
* Jesus gives similar advice when His disciples performed the same miracles He did.
* Luke 10:20 - “…rejoice that your names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”

Luke 17:25 - How to Accomplish Anything
* There are two key words that will help you accomplish your biggest goals and broadest dreams:
*

!
* Vs 22-25 - “But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.”
* comes before easy.
* comes before pleasure.
* PROBLEM - If you don’t live a “but first” life then you won’t experience in the thing you do.
* Rest vs Restless - if you you can rest, but if you don’t you are restless.
* QUESTION - What is your “but first”?
* Three keys:
* 1) your hard things.
* What things do you hate to do but know you should do?
* Do them first - eat the frog.
* This gives you (go faster with less effort).
* 2) your gratification - think about what you’re saying “ ” to, not what you’re saying “ ” to.
* In God’s kingdom, a good thing later is always better than a good thing now.
* What should you say “no” to now so you can say “yes” sometime later?
* 3) in your work - when you accomplish something good, enjoy it!
* Taking time to “take it in” replenishes your soul and body.
* “It is good!” says God.
* Do you take time to celebrate your small victories?
