Are the Miracles Rational?

If God exists and the Gospels are true, it’s rational to believe the Christmas miracles.

What miracles do we see in the Gospel narratives of Christ’s birth?

Do you believe that an educated person can believe in miracles? Why or why not?

What evidence for the existence of God and the virgin birth do you find rational and convincing?

APPLY:

The Gospels tell us why more than showing us how Jesus was born of a virgin. Read Luke 1:26-38 and make your list of why Jesus was born of a virgin?

What do these things tell you about God and the kind of relationship he wants to have with you?

COMMIT:

The German reformer Martin Luther wrote a hymn called “Lord Jesus Christ, Of Virgin Born.” Look it up online and meditate on its stanzas this week.
