• Maybe you’ve never built a 90ft statue of yourself and told people to bow down like King Nebuchadnezzar did, but we’ve all had moments of pride or ego. Share an embarrassing story of how your pride or ego made you look silly.


• In Daniel 3 all the people are commanded to bow down to the golden statue. We may not be tempted to compromise by bowing down to golden statues, but what other kinds of idols in our culture are we tempted to compromise and bow down to?


• What form of idolatry are you most susceptible to?


• As a group read Daniel 3:13-18. What stands out to you about this situation?


• How do these boys exemplify biblical courage?


• In what spheres of life do you struggle to have this kind of courage?


• In Daniel 3:25 it is believed that this is the pre-incarnate Christ with the boys in the fire. How does what happened to them back then give us hope for today?
