for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. —Philippians 2:13

Think about someone who sacrificed for your sake. Do you remember the beloved Grandparent that gave to you and went without herself, so you could benefit? Like the loving sacrifices of a beloved grandparent, God sacrifices for His family even today. Right now, God is working in every area of your life to shape you to become exactly who He desires you to become. He knows the circumstances, challenges, and opportunities that He is allowing you to encounter. They have purpose. They all are under His control. He is a God who delights in seeing His children mature in their faith and to become more mature in one’s understanding and to ultimately act, think, and live like Jesus as His masterpiece.

As an artist, one truly can enjoy both the completed masterpiece and the process that must take place to turn the “project” into a “’Masterpiece.” Just like Leonardo da Vinci is believed to have created multiple “drafts” of his masterpiece “Mona Lisa,” God continues to work on His masterpiece right now. His masterpiece is YOU!
