Genesis 41:1-36

41:1-8 | Important messages in Scripture are often given twice. The repetition in Pharaoh’s dream, properly understood, would have great bearing on Egypt’s future as well as Joseph’s. That it was repeated to Pharoah twice suggests it dare not be missed.

41:9-16 | God’s timing is always perfect.

41:15-16 | Most people would have given themselves the credit for the dream’s successful interpretation simply to gain the favor of Pharoah. But Joseph promptly replied, It is not in me; God will give… an answer, and then repeatedly affirmed this. Whether interpreting publicly or privately, His response and message never changed, signs of integrity and faithfulness.

41:33-37 | Joseph recommended this solution not to get a job; it was highly improbable that a prisoner would be chosen for the role he described. Pharoah did not worship or understand Joseph’s God, but he recognized something special in this man - a divine empowerment beyond good leadership.
