His Blessing

Introduction

1 “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world. 2 You will experience all these blessings if you obey the Lord your God. —Deuteronomy 28:1-2 (NLT)

Divine Principle of Reciprocity:

God and in turn, God blesses my .

22 As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.” —Genesis 8:22 (NLT)

6 Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. —Galatians 6:6-9 (NLT)

Three Ways To Respect The Principle Of Reciprocity

1. I Must What Is Me

8 “Should people cheat God? Yet you have cheated me!
“But you ask, ‘What do you mean? When did we ever cheat you?’
“You have cheated me of the tithes and offerings due to me. 9 You are under a curse, for your whole nation has been cheating me. 10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test! —Malachi 3:8-10 (NLT)

6 Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. —Galatians 6:6-9 (NLT)

2. Understand That I Will What I

7 “They have planted the wind and will harvest the whirlwind. —Hosea 8:7 (NLT)

8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. —Galatians 6:8 (NLT)

18 God, slow to get angry and huge in loyal love, forgiving iniquity and rebellion and sin; Still, never just whitewashing sin. But extending the fallout of parents’ sins to children into the third, even the fourth generation. —Numbers 14:18 (TMB)

3. I Must At The Same Level I

38 Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” —Luke 6:38 (NLT)

9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. —Galatians 6:6-9 (NLT)

6 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” —2 Corinthians 9:6-7 (NLT)

Conclusion

10 For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.
11 Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God. —2 Corinthians 9:10-11 (NLT)

If God can get it

you, He can get it you!

My Next Steps:

  1. Identify the people I may be neglecting to reciprocate?
  2. What seeds am I leaving in the ground for my children’s children?
  3. What areas in my life am I underfunding but over expecting?
