I. You are Called to
1 John 3:11 This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. 12 Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother’s were righteous. 13 Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you. 14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death.
John 13:34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
1 John 4:19 We love because he first loved us. 20 If anyone says, “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. 21 And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother. 1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. 2 This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands.
II. You are Called to
Isaiah 60:22 The least [insignificant, low status] of you will become a thousand [clan: a subgroup of a main group related to an ancestor, a military group], the smallest [younger sibiling] a mighty nation [large group of various cultural, physical, or geographical ties]. I am the LORD; in its time I will do this swiftly.
A. You are Called to “Do Crazy” to
Matthew 24:14 this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world [people, humankind] as a testimony to all nations [large groups of people with various culture and geography], and then the end will come.
B. You are Called to “Do Crazy” to
Acts 1:8 you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, [where we live] and in all Judea and Samaria [our state], and to the ends of the earth [world, nations].”
III. You are Called to “Do Crazy” to
Matthew 18:11 For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost. 12 “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? 13 And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. 14 Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.
