Best Practice Series:  In preparation for Palm Sunday through Easter, we will cover specific teachings from Jesus on fasting, prayer, generosity, service, and repentance so that we can properly reflect on the
message of the resurrection.

Jesus prayed continuously in the Gospels.
Jesus wakes up early to pray to see where God wanted him to go. (Mark 1:35)
Jesus prayed all through the night before he chose his twelve apostles. (Luke 6:12)
Jesus prayed three times in the Garden of Gethsemane the night he was arrested. (Jn 17)
The Disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray. (Mathew 6:9-13 The Lord’s Prayer)

Mathew 15:21-23 NIV
21 Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.”
23 Jesus did not answer a word. So, his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”

faith
Mathew 15:28 NIV
28 Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.

PRAYER IS A TIME OF FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD.

4. God will delay answering our prayer to build

with Him

When God delays an answer to your prayer ask yourself:
God, are you delaying so that I will appreciate the blessing more?
God, do I need to come to you with more humility?
God, are you building my faith?
God do you just want to visit with me a little bit longer before answering me..
The answer to this question God will give you quickly
