How did these rules come about?
Why are these rules important for your family?
READ Matthew 22:34-40.
Why are the Pharisees asking Jesus about which commandment is the greatest?
How does Jesus answer them?
Why is Jesus’ answer both surprising and wise?
How do the Ten Commandments fit into Jesus’ answer?
Take some time to walk through the Ten Commandments and ask the following questions of each:
- What does this commandment say about God?
- How can the Holy Spirit help us to obey God‘s desire in this area?
PRAY for each other - that the Holy Spirit will change your desires.
PRAY for someone who needs to know God loves them and wants to be in relationship with them. PRAY about how God might be using you to help them meet Jesus.
