Everyday Jesus Notes 6.27.21
June 26, 2021

Everyday Jesus: Everyday Jesus is a great way to deepen your Bible reading, prayer life & personal time with Christ.

• Monday: Read Philippians 1-4 take note of the progression of Paul’s letter (use the sermon notes). At the end of each chapter, take note of Paul’s Christ centered perspective. Today, let’s ask the Lord to deepen our view of Christ in the depths of our own reality. Lord help us see your purpose & plan in what we are facing…
• Tuesday: Read Philippians 3:1-11, 4:4-7, 4:10-13. These three passages are highlighted by the word “rejoice”. As you read today, ask God to reshape your perspective in a way that gives you joy - in all things
• Wednesday: {Day of Fasting} Read Philippians 4:4-7 From Paul’s joy (while in prison) he has a reasonableness or a meeting, fitting perspective for his current reality. Paul’s reasonableness comes from his knowing “The Lord is at hand”. Life has a way of making us feel alone in decisions, places, burdens, etc…Paul’s understanding was that where he was - the Lord was at hand. Today, ask the Lord to show Himself (to be present) in your life - today.
• Thursday: Read Philippians 4:4-7. Because the Lord is at hand, strive to replace anxiety by pray-ing & ask-ing the Lord about every-thing. Meditate on vv6-7, make your requests known to God.
• Friday: Read Philippians 4:4-7 Paul makes a declarative statement in v7 that God’s peace will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. There were many reasons Paul could have been anxious & worried - in prison & with death a real possibility. Through prayer, asking God and making his requests known, Paul knew with great confidence that God was guarding his heart and mind. Today, ask God to guard your heart and your mind as you continue to pray, ask and make your requests known to God.
• Saturday: Read Philippians 4:4-9 In Christ we learn what really is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable and excellent. As our world gives us so many counterfeits to what is true about Christ, ask the Lord to deepen your thoughts about who Christ really is, and to continually - think about these things.
