Creating A Church That Can Change The World Starts With
“We love because He first loved us…” > I John 4:19,
“…the goodness of God leads you to repentance.” > Romans 2:4
Freely we received GRACE, freely we GIVE GRACE > Matthew 10:8
After we freely receive GRACE, we gotta
After GRACE and GROWTH, we also need to
“1 One day Jesus called together his twelve disciples and gave them power and authority to cast out all demons and to heal all diseases. 2 Then he sent them out to tell everyone about the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick…6 So they began their circuit of the villages, preaching the Good News and healing the sick.”
This is literally Jesus Creating A Church That Can Change The World! Jesus took this band of the forsaken, the forgotten, and the fisherfolk, and moved them from GRACE to GROWTH to GOING to reach people with the love they’d received. Having been touched by GRACE they were led into GROWTH and then brought to a place where they could GO and offer this GRACE and GROWTH to others. This is Creating A Church That Can Change The World!
Lost People Matter To God…
How Does God See People?
- As Fashioned In The Image Of
- As A Special
- As Crowned With Glory &
- As Precious Sheep, Precious Coins, and Precious
- As Pearls of Great
Creating A Church That Can Change The World is about moving from GRACE to GROWTH to GO! Luke 10:25-37 (NKJV) describes what it looks like to GO…
“25 And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 26 He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?”27 So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and your neighbor as yourself.’ ” 28 And He said to him, “You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.”
“29 But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
“30 Jesus replied with a story: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.”
“31 Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32 Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side.”
“33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. 34 So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35 On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’ 36 So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?” 37 And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “GO and do likewise.”
The Wounded Man’s Biggest Problem Was Not Being Attacked By Bandits, Because We All Experience Adversity.
The Wounded Man’s Biggest Problem Was That No One “Saw” Him:
The Lawyer Saw The Wounded Man As A Problem To Discuss,
The Bandits Saw The Wounded Man As A Problem To Exploit,
The Priest & Levite Saw The Wounded Man As A Problem To Avoid,
Only The Samaritan Saw The Wounded Man As He Really Was: A Person To Love!
When you truly see a person, it leads you to act and respond!
Clear
To God, our love for Him is all about our love for people> Romans 13:8-10; I Corinthians 13; Galatians 5:5-26; Ephesians 5:1,2; I Timothy 1:5; James 2:8-13; I Peter 1:22; I Peter 4:8; I John 2:9-11; I John 3:11-20; I John 4:7-21. There are far more verses in the N.T. that deal with loving people than loving God. True love for God always produces true love for people: if we love God, love for people will flow!
Bottom Line? Clear Sight Leads To Compassionate Action.
When you correctly “see”, you GO. His Seeing Led To Feeling. His Feeling Led To Going:
In God’s end-time gameplan, the local church - Churches That Can Change The World are the hope of the world.
These Churches are where God wants people to be able to find Him, and He has no “Plan B”:
Matthew 28:18-20 > “…go and make disciples of all nations…”
Mark 16:15-20 > “He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation…”
John 20:21 > “Again Jesus said…As the Father has sent Me, I am sending you’”.
Acts 1:8 > “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Creating A Church That Can Change The World Is God’s Only Plan. We Are THE Hope Of The World.
Creating A Church That Can Change The World is about moving from GRACE to GROWTH to GO!
