Rising Above Our Doubts
When we seek for God earnestly God will reveal himself to us.
Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Thomas the Faithful One.
John 11:16 Then Thomas (also known as Didymus) said to the rest of the disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with him.”
Thomas the Inquisitive One.
John 14:5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
Thomas the Doubting One
John 20:25 “But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

The Three Burdens of Proof
1. Reasonable Suspicion – We can’t prove it, but we suspect it.
2. Probable Cause- A Reasonable belief that what you suspect is PROBABLE.
3. Beyond a Reasonable doubt-A reasonable doubt is any doubt based on reason and common sense.

Luke 5 :18 NIV 18 Zechariah asked the angel, “How can I be sure of this? I am an old man, and my wife is well along in years.”
Reasons that we doubt- (Latin Dubitare- To Hesitate or waver)
Fear of Failure or looking foolish at the task at hand.
Low Self Esteem- We don’t feel qualified or capable of the task at hand.
Questioning the Validity. We don’t believe what is being told to us.
We rise above our doubts by BELIEVING the evidence that we see.
Hebrews 11:1 NIV Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
3.We rise above our doubts by _BELIEVING_the evidence that we see.
ACTS 12:14 NIV14 When she recognized Peter’s voice, she was so overjoyed she ran back without opening it and exclaimed, “Peter is at the door!”
Follow the Open Door
When you see God’s Answer to your prayer at your front door, OPEN THE DOOR.
Don’t Reason away your faith
The only way to rise above your doubts is to take steps of faith and follow the open doors and trust God is leading your steps.
