The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is safe.
(Proverbs 29:25 ESV)

Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy. (Proverbs 28:13 NIV)

• Whatever area we are hiding needs to be surrendered to God. He can touch it and use it for His glory

• I’ve been

; I need to protect myself

Practice Transparency

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. (James 5:16 NLT)

The wall was built of jasper, while the city [itself was of] pure gold, clear and transparent like glass. (Revelations 21:18 AMPC)

BEING TEACHABLE

One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Dedicate Barnabas and Saul for the special work to which I have called them.” So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way. (Acts 13:2-3 NLT)

Their disagreement was so sharp that they separated. Barnabas took John Mark with him and sailed for Cyprus. Paul chose Silas, and as he left, the believers entrusted him to the Lord’s gracious care. (Acts 15:39-40 NLT)

For some members of Chloe’s household have told me about your quarrels (strife- to put oneself forward or ahead), my dear brothers and sisters. Some of you are saying, “I am a follower of Paul.” Others are saying, “I follow Apollos,” or “I follow Peter,” or “I follow only Christ.” (1 Corinthians 1:11-12 NLT)

Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking. (1 Corinthians 13: 5 AMPC)

• Being teachable is an expression of God’s

being actively in us

A scoffer seeks Wisdom in vain [for his very attitude blinds and deafens him to it], but knowledge is easy to him who [being teachable] understands. (Proverbs 14:6 AMPC)

Whoever loves instruction and correction loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is like a brute beast, stupid and indiscriminating. (Proverbs 12:1 AMPC)

• If we are not teachable, we can miss out on revelation and

The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, turning a person from the snares of death. (Proverbs 13:14 NIV)
