Five Blessings in 2022

“…on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month.” (Rev. 22: 2, ESV)

Blessed CHILDREN: “His offspring will be mighty in the land. The generation of the upright will be blessed” (v. 2)

FIVE GENERATION RULE:

Generations of Jonathan Edwards (godly president of Princeton University): 1 U.S. Vice-President, 1 Dean of a law school, 1 dean of a medical school, 3 U.S. Senators, 3 governors, 3 mayors, 13 college presidents, 30 judges, 60 doctors, 65 professors, 75 Military officers, 80 public office holders, 100 lawyers, 100 clergymen, and 285 college graduates.

Generations of Max Jukes (notorious criminal): 7 murderers, 60 thieves, 190 prostitutes, 150 other convicts, 310 paupers, and 440 who were physically wrecked by addiction to alcohol. Of the 1,200 descendants that were studied, 300 died prematurely.

Blessed FINANCES: “Wealth and riches are in his house” (v. 3)

Blessed RELATIONSHIPS: “He is gracious, merciful, and righteous…he deals generously and lends” (v. 4-5)

“How good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together IN UNITY…there the Lord commanded the BLESSING, life forevermore.” Psalm 133

Blessed EMOTIONS: “The righteous will never be moved…he is not afraid of bad news. His heart is firm, trusting in the Lord” (v. 6-7)

“Cast the whole of your care, once and for all, upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 Pet. 5:7)

Blessed PURPOSE: “He has distributed freely; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn is exalted in honor” (v. 9)
