
Today we get a chance to continue the summer series going through the book of James. So, let’s talk about TEMPTATION. Facing temptation is a real struggle as a follower of Jesus. James 1:12-15 gives us practical insight in to the process of resisting it! We get a chance to learn more about God and more about ourselves through these struggles.

Talk about a time you gave in to temptation. What was going through your head? What were the consequences? Think through the experience. Was it worth it?
How aware are you of the things that tempt you to sin? Do they sneak up on you?
Think through the acronym HALT. When are you personally the most vulnerable to giving in to temptation?
Who do you have in your life to help you through temptation? Can both of you go before the Lord and ask for strength to endure temptation? What does that look like?
