GREETINGS

The North Summit family strives to make you feel welcomed wherever you are on your faith journey. Maybe you have been in church your whole life or maybe this is the first time you have considered attending; either way, there is a place for you here.

YOUTH & KIDS

We offer dynamic programming for kids ages birth-6th grade. We currently have all nursery, preschool, and elementary classes during our 9:30 service. We also offer nursery and preschool only during our 11:00 service. If you are visiting us for the first time, please visit the Family Lobby.

Jr. High and High School students attend the Sunday services and meet together for Youth Group on Wednesday evenings during the school year from 6:00-8:00 pm.

Summit After School is a drop-in after school program for 1st-6th grade students. We offer a fun afternoon including a homework time/education activities, meal, group game, craft and life lesson. SAS is every Tuesday and Thursday (during LPOSD school year) 2:30 to 5:00 pm. If you would like more info or would like to serve please contact Nora Morrison.

Royal Rangers is an activity-based ministry for boys K-12th grade. Its mission is to evangelize, equip and empower the next generation of men to become Christ-like servant leaders. Please join us from 4-6 pm every Sunday in the South Building.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Baptism - Sunday, July 31st
If you haven’t taken the bold step of being immersed in Christian baptism and you have been wanting to do so, now is the time. The baptistry will be available Sunday, July 31st immediately following the third service for you to take your first step in discipleship. If you are interested or want to learn more about being baptized, check “Baptism” on your Connection Card or contact the church office.

Summer Food Program for Kids - week of August 29th
We have an upcoming opportunity in August to serve our community. The Lake Pend Oreille School District will not be able to provide its summer meal program for the kids this year; their Nutrition District is getting an overhaul of their storage facility. Food For Our Children contacted us to “adopt” a week to feed the kids. We will make lunches here at church for 300 kids and then we will have two teams take the food to two distribution sites here in Sandpoint/Kootenai. We will be making lunches August 29-September 2nd and still need a few kitchen helpers for those days between 9:00 and 11:00. If this is something you are willing to commit to, please contact Enas Blanchard  e.blanchard@northsummit.com with specific days and time blocks you are available or if you have any questions. There will be a required kitchen training the week of August 22. The specific date to be determined later.

Precept for Kids Sunday School Program
Beginning this fall, an inductive Precept for Kids Bible study will be available for Sunday School students beginning 4th through 6th grade. Inductive Bible study is a simple and straightforward method that is fun to learn and teaches students life-long skills for how to study the Bible for themselves. Using the materials from How to Study your Bible for Kids, these students will learn methods for observation, interpretation and application of God’s Word. More information will be coming soon, but if this sounds interesting to you now, please make a notation on your connection card (please write “Precept for Kids”) and one of the teachers will send you an invitation to an upcoming parent and student meeting.
