>> “The Angel of the LORD”

Genesis 16:7-10
The angel of the Lord found her by a spring in the wilderness…
He said, “Hagar, slave of Sarai, where have you come from and where are you going?”
She replied, “I’m running away from my mistress Sarai.”
The angel of the Lord said to her, “Go back to your mistress and submit to her authority.” The angel of the Lord said to her, “I will greatly multiply your offspring, and they will be too many to count.”

Genesis 16:13
So she named the Lord who spoke to her: “You are El-roi…[God who sees me]”

Exodus 3:2-4
Then the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire within a bush. As Moses looked, he saw that the bush was on fire but was not consumed. So Moses thought, “I must go over and look at this remarkable sight. Why isn’t the bush burning up?”
When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called out to him from the bush, “Moses, Moses!”

Exodus 3:4b-6
“Here I am,” [Moses] answered.
“Do not come closer,” he said. “Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” Then he continued, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God.

Exodus 3:13-15
Then Moses asked God, “If I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your ancestors has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what should I tell them?”
God replied to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: I AM has sent me to you. …This is my name forever; this is how I am to be remembered in every generation.”

John 10:25

>> 7 Direct “I AM” Statements Made By Jesus:

1) John 4:26
The woman said to him, “I know that the Messiah is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”
Jesus told her, “I, the one speaking to you, I AM (he).”

2) John 8:23-24
“You are from below,” he told them, “I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world…For if you do not believe that I AM (he), you will die in your sins.”

3) John 8:28-29
So Jesus said to them, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I AM (he), and that I do nothing on my own. But just as the Father taught me, I say these things. The one who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, because I always do what pleases him.”

4) John 8:56-58
[Jesus said,] ”Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day; he saw it and was glad.”
The Jews replied, “You aren’t fifty years old yet, and you’ve seen Abraham?”
Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

Judas, who betrayed him, was also standing with them. When Jesus told them, “I am he,” they stepped back and fell to the ground.
Then he asked them again, “Who is it that you’re seeking?”
“Jesus of Nazareth,” they said.
“I told you I AM (he),” Jesus replied.
