Offenses

2 Thessalonians 1:1-12

Have you ever been offended or hurt? If you have, you’ve got plenty of company these days. Our society has made offending someone a national pastime. For many of us who’ve been offended, we either deny it has happened or we choose not to deal with it by stuffing it deep down in our soul. Others choose to take it out on the ones we love. It’s so easy to build a fence around ourselves to keep others out when we are offended. But that’s not God’s way. He gives us a wonderful prescription on how to deal with the opposition that ultimately brings God glory.

Action Points:

We ought not to be surprised when we receive

.

“…everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted…” 2 Timothy 3:12

We must have an eternal

.

“For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him…” Philippians 1:29

We’ve got to learn to

“drop” it__.

“…Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” Luke 9:23
