The God Who Is Love

Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not arrogant, is not rude, is not self-seeking, is not irritable, and does not keep a record of wrongs. Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 CSB

This is who God is, and we get to be this too.

Love is patient and kind.

Love is not envious, boastful, or arrogant.

Love is not rude or self-seeking.

Love is not irritable, does not keep a record of wrongs, and finds no joy in unrighteousness, but rejoices in truth.

Love bears all things, believes in all things, hopes all things and endures all things.

Here’s why it matters.

The highest purpose of our lives is to love God and love other people.

Biblical love authenticates our relationship with Jesus.

Biblical love reveals Jesus to others.
