Scripture Reading

After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. —Luke 19:28-30

It Is Finished…

The work

to Jesus by the Father was completed.

“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” —John 19:10

No more sacrifices are needed.

“He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once and for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption. Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice himself.” —Hebrews 10:12, 26

The debt has been paid in

“But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool. Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.’ And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary.” —Hebrews 10:12, 13, 18

A new

, a New has begun.

All our

(past, present and future) are forgiven.

We don’t have to “

” to earn God’s favor.

We can approach God with

because of Jesus.

We don’t have to fear

.

Takeaway:
Stop trying to live in your own power; start living through the power of the Cross.
