1. Jesus teaches us to recognize the signs of the times (Luke 12:54-56) How did the wise men recognize the signs of the times in Matthew 2:1-12? What are the signs of the times you recognize today concerning the Second Advent of Christ?

2. Herod and Jerusalem were deeply troubled at the news of the Advent of the King of the Jews. Why do you think that was? Why are some people afraid concerning His Second Advent? How does Scripture teach believers to view His soon return (2Timothy 4:8)?

3. The wise men were not only vigilant enough to look for the signs of the times, but they also adjust their lives accordingly. They set aside everything else in their life to seek Jesus. How might we live in a vigilant state of readiness for Christ’s Second Advent?
