SHINE SERIES part 6: LEADERSHIP
Message Title: Prime Time Leadership
Text: Job 29:1-4 (NLT)
2 “I long for the years gone by when God took care of me, 3 when he lit up the way before me and I walked safely through the darkness. 4 When I was in my prime, God’s friendship was felt in my home.
Major Point:
Today, people are in need of leadership to help them navigate the difficult seasons of life, suffering, pain, loss, and calamity, and it will take a certain type of person to do so.
I want to talk to you today about PRIME TIME LEADERSHIP.
Job, the Prime Time Leader
Today, I want to talk about Job. He is a righteous man that through a set of astronomical events in his life has placed him on a bed of sufferin and He is frantically trying to understand what is happening to him and what he is going to do about it. He is a Prime Time leader but currently he doesn’t look that way.
- He’s lost his Job and work
- He’s lost his reputation in the city - everyone thinks he’s a wicked man
- He’s lost his kids and all of his success
- And He lost it all in one day!!!!!!
Now he’s sitting in misery, wishing he could go back to some sense of normalcy. *
And many people, like Job, are sitting in circumstances thinking of the same thing. Many today are in a place of suffering crying out, they are confused, and some even hopeless, and the only thing that is going to help them in this time of need is for leaders to emerge for the glory of God.
I believe this year, you will need to SHINE in LEADERSHIP and lead people again like they did in the good old days.
Prime Time Leadership Defined
Prime Time Leadership is all about leading from this place Job said he wished he could return. Listen to the verses:

What Prime Time Leadership LOOKS LIKE
Job 29:1-11 (NLT)
1 Job continued speaking: 2 “I long for the years gone by when God took care of me, 3 when he lit up the way before me and I walked safely through the darkness. 4 When I was in my prime, God’s friendship was felt in my home. 5 The Almighty was still with me, and my children were around me. 6 My steps were awash in cream, and the rocks gushed olive oil for me. 7 “Those were the days when I went to the city gate and took my place among the honored leaders. 8 The young stepped aside when they saw me, and even the aged rose in respect at my coming. 9 The princes stood in silence and put their hands over their mouths. 10 The highest officials of the city stood quietly, holding their tongues in respect. 11 “All who heard me praised me. All who saw me spoke well of me.

When you come into the best version of who God is calling you to be, you look blessed, you look, prosperous, you look well, and that is BECAUSE of the hidden sacrifices you have made and the submitted posture of your heart before God to minister to the needs of man. When your life aligns to this, you are now walking in your Prime, and there are astounding results that come from this.
