2 Peter 1:1-8
Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ,
To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us to His own glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Philippians 3:7-10
But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith— that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,

  • Every blessing, and everything we need for life and godliness comes from knowing Him. (v.3)

    • 2 Peter 1:2
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,

    • 2 Peter 1:3
… His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us to His own glory and virtue,

  • Knowing Him is more important than anything, including experiencing spiritual blessings or supernatural miracles

    • Philippians 3:8
… I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him,

    • Philippians 3:10-11
10 I want to know him and the power of his resurrection, that I may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.* including blessings and experiencing the supernatural.

    • Matthew 7:22-23
22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘depart from me, I never knew you…

  • We want our church to be a place where intimacy overflows into insight, where knowing Him overflows into revelation knowledge, where the prophetic word is released through relatonship with Jesus, where in every season and every circumstance, we are a people who say, I want you know You Jesus.
