Morning Prayer for Humility
Good morning Lord. Thank you for all your gracious and merciful provision in my life yesterday. I am dependent upon you today for my life, breath, and everything else. Any unrest, anxiety, or uncertainty in me today I release now to you. Empower me through your Holy Spirit to recognize any prideful ways in me today and replace it with humility.
(Morning Humility Prayer based on Acts 17: 24-25; 1 Peter 5:5-7; Philippians 2:3-4; Galatians 5:16-23)
Evening Prayer for Humility
Lord God, as I prepare now for restful sleep, which I desperately need as a created being, I am thankful to you my Creator for the holy gift of rest. I am mindful of the many ways you walked with me today, providing exactly what I needed for each challenging moment or unexpected opportunity. All glory is yours for getting me through another day. Anything I contributed had its source in you. Receive my gratitude and praise.
(Evening Humility Prayer based on Psalm 24:1; 121:4; Acts 17:24-25; Deuteronomy 8:1-9)
