At the Core, pt 1 - “God is the Goal”

Our vision, is the compass.
Our values are the map.

Core values define and shape us.

God is the Goal
There is no greater pursuit in life than knowing God,
therefore everything we do should center around him.

Isaiah 40:9
Go on up to a high mountain,
O Zion, herald of good news;
lift up your voice with strength,
O Jerusalem, herald of good news;
lift it up, fear not;
say to the cities of Judah,
“Behold your God!”

1 Peter 3:18
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,

God can’t be a goal
He needs to be THE goal.

Matthew 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Matthew 13:45-46
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, 46 who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

Your head can be right.
Your heart can be wrong.

Morning - pursue God
Afternoon - look for God
Night - thank God

Would I be happy in heaven if God were not there?
What I am pursuing more than God?
