Scripture: Luke 5:1-11
Takeaway: God’s voice directs us.

Take some time to share:
• One thing that you are thankful for this week.

• One thing you need.

• How can the group help?

Bible Discussion: Read Luke 5:1-11
• Read todays passage a couple of times. For many, it is a familiar one. What stands out to you today as you read?

• Are there portions that you did not notice before?

• What must have crossed their minds as Jesus asks them to do what they had been doing all night, reaping no rewards?

• Why do you think Jesus chose Simon Peter?

Application:
• Can you recall a time when you were at the end of your rope?

• Does it every feel like you are doing the same thing over & over with little-to-no benefit in return?

• Have you ever felt the call of God in your life to do something differently?

• How do faith & trust play into those moments?

• How has God surprised you by doing something you did not expect?

Challenge: Simon & the other fishermen were inspired to try “one more time” after hearing Jesus’s words. Let Simon’s words in verse 5 be your prayer this week as you seek to truly HEAR God’s direction in your day-to-day life… “yet, because you say so, I will.”
