Jesus always used truth as a to help people and never as a to hurt people.

We can get the truth right, but get the message wrong.

Why LGBTQ people left the church:

3% — Church believed same-sex marriage was wrong
18% — They didn’t feel safe
14% — A relational disconnect with leaders
13% — Incongruence between teaching and practice
12% — Unwillingness to dialogue
9% — They were kicked out

“Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.” Ephesians 4:15

“Haven’t you read that at the beginning the Creator made them male and female…. For this reason, a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh?” Matthew 19:4-5

Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and the sexually immoral. Hebrews 13:4
