
Don’t Worry – Be Joyful!

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me — put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. – Philippians 4:4-9
Three Main Points:

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. —Philippians 4:4-5
Don’t be an Eeyore.
No matter how the world falls apart around us, no matter what our circumstances are, we can rejoice in the truth of who God is and His love for us. We can practice and learn to rejoice always.
2 - Replace
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. —Philippians 4:6-7
– Talk to God instead of worrying.
– Give thanks instead of worrying.

3 - Capture and
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. —2 Corinthians 10:5
– It is important to pinpoint the lies we’ve been believing and submit our thoughts to the Lord.
– We need to choose to interrupt our spiraling thoughts with God’s truths.
Finally, brothers and sisters,
whatever is true,
whatever is noble,
whatever is right,
whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely,
whatever is admirable
— if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things.9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. —Philippians 4:8-9
Take inventory of your thoughts and ask yourself: Is what I’m thinking: true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, or praiseworthy?
