2 Samuel 2:1
1 Some time later, David inquired of the LORD: “Should I go to one of the towns of Judah?”
The LORD answered him, “Go.” Then David asked, “Where should I go?” “To Hebron,” the LORD replied.

2 Samuel 2:8-9
8 Abner son of Ner, commander of Saul’s army, took Saul’s son Ish-bosheth, and moved him to Mahanaim. 9 He made him king over Gilead, Asher, Jezreel, Ephraim, Benjamin—over all Israel.
2 Samuel 3:11
11 Ish-bosheth did not dare respond to Abner because he was afraid of him.
2 Samuel 4:1 (CSB)
4 When Saul’s son Ish-bosheth heard that Abner had died in Hebron, he gave up, and all Israel was dismayed.
2 Samuel 2:13-14
13 So Joab son of Zeruiah and David’s soldiers marched out and met them by the pool of Gibeon. The two groups took up positions on opposite sides of the pool. 14 Then Abner said to Joab, “Let’s have the young men get up and compete in front of us.” “Let them get up,” Joab replied.
2 Samuel 2:17
17 The battle that day was extremely fierce, and Abner and the men of Israel were defeated by David’s soldiers.
2 Samuel 2:26-28
26 Then Abner called out to Joab, “Must the sword devour forever? Don’t you realize this will only end in bitterness? How long before you tell the troops to stop pursuing their brothers?” 27 “As God lives,” Joab replied, “if you had not spoken up, the troops wouldn’t have stopped pursuing their brothers until morning.” 28 Then Joab blew the ram’s horn, and all the troops stopped; they no longer pursued Israel or continued to fight.
I can’t
Psalm 63:1-8
1 God, you are my God; I eagerly seek you.
I thirst for you;
my body faints for you
in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water.
2 So I gaze on you in the sanctuary
to see your strength and your glory.
3 My lips will glorify you
because your faithful love is better than life.
4 So I will bless you as long as I live;
at your name, I will lift up my hands.
5 You satisfy me as with rich food;,
my mouth will praise you with joyful lips.
6 When I think of you as I lie on my bed,
I meditate on you during the night watches
7 because you are my helper;
I will rejoice in the shadow of your wings.
8 I follow close to you;
your right hand holds on to me.
