unBelievable Favor

Luke 7:1-17

What do we look for when we are facing uncertain times? Most of us look to God to fix the problem first. So, what’s the first thing you seek when you’re in this situation? In this passage, we see a man facing a big problem and finding much more than he was looking for.

We see:

A CALL for help

“When the officer heard about Jesus, he sent some respected Jewish elders to ask him to come and heal his slave.” v.3

A CONVICTION of unworthiness

“Lord, don’t trouble yourself by coming to my home, for I am not worthy of such an honor.”  v.6b

A COMMENDATION of faith

“I tell you, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!” v.9b

Action Points:
Guard your heart against the attitude of “I deserve…”
Practice humility by looking for ways to humble yourself this week.
Exercise a faith that God “can…”
