LIFE GROUP QUESTIONS:

Icebreaker: As a kid, what food did you refuse to eat? What food do you still dislike to this day?

Have everyone spend time reading Acts 10:9-23 quietly to them-selves. After a few minutes, either have one person read the pas-sage for the group or have each person take turns reading a por-tion until the entire passage has been read.

Sermon Observation Questions
1. Was there anything from this past week’s sermon that stood out to you? Explain. Was there anything from the sermon that confused you? Explain. Was there anything from the sermon that invoked an emotion? If so, what was it?

  1. Observations about this passage: Who was the audience or the characters? What does this passage tell us about sinful man? What do we learn about God or Jesus from reading this pas-sage, and how does that impact the way we love people and love God?

  2. What questions arise from reading this passage? Is there any-thing from this passage that sticks out to you personally? If so, what?

Life Application Questions
1. Read Leviticus 11:4-7, 13-19, 29-30. Having this context in mind, how do you think Peter felt when he heard God tell him to “Kill and Eat?” Why might this have been repeated three times?

  1. What principles or beliefs do you hold to that limit your ability to reach out to people “different” from you? What obstacles might hinder a person from reaching out to those who are not like them for the sake of the gospel .

  2. What new relationships has God given you recently? How did he bring them into your life? How have you influenced them for the Kingdom?

  3. Next Steps: What can you do in Christ’s strength to reach out to someone who is different than you?
