How do these verses encourage you to take a next step?
Read Matthew 9:35.
Do you tend to tip towards ‘doing’ or ‘soul’ work? Pastor Harvey challenged us to not only feed the hungry or focus on salvation but both/and. Have you ever thought about the church being a part of that dichotomy before? What step do you need to take in your life to adjust your tipped scale?
Read James 5:16.
Pastor Harvey Drake reminded us that confession isn’t just the answer but our humility. When we keep Jesus at the center, we get out of the way and let Him work.

The Pastors challenged us to:
1. Start at home, having conversations with our family and friends.
2. Pursue common things we can do with our hands and hearts to work alongside others with a different story than you.
3. Grow in empathy, understanding, relationship and love.
Which one of those are you going to pursue this week?
Dr. Scott Dudley asked us if we love others enough to be uncomfortable and learn why we are uncomfortable. What might make you uncomfortable about the topic of racial reconciliation? Why do you think that is?
Pastor Harvey Drake left us with this challenge: We have been given the Holy Spirit and His Word which gives us all the power. Do we have the will to make a difference?
What step are you going to take to not grow weary of doing good but to continue on in the muddy Spartan marathon of growing in this gospel issue?
