*The sin of self-righteousness was attacked by Jesus more often, more directly and more severely than any other.

I. NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO JUDGE OTHERS

1.- Four Characteristics of the self-righteous

A. Accuse others and

yourself (vs.1)
B. others by wrong standard (vs.2)
C. Thinks judging others puts him in a better (vs.3)
D. God’s blessing on his life. (vs.4)

2.- Results of being judgmental.

A. We store up

against ourselves (vs.5)

II. WHEN IS IT WRONG TO JUDGE?

  1. When we the same sin (vs.1-3)
  2. When it us to our own faults (Matt. 7:1-3)
  3. When we draw based on outward appearance (John 7:24)
  4. When we before hearing facts (John 7:51)
  5. When we judge a person’s from external observances
    (Col. 2:16)
  6. When it causes us to speak evil against or slander
    (James 4:11-12)
  7. (1 Cor. 4:5)

III. ONLY GOD HAS THE RIGHT TO JUDGE OTHERS

  1. will God judge people? (vs.16)
  2. will God judge people? (Hebrews 4:12-13)
