Proverbs 18:9-20, Acts 21-26, Psalm 150-6,
2 Kings 20, 1 Chronicles 1-6

Acts 20:24 But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.

Acts 21:20-21 …many thousands of Jews have also believed, and they all follow the law of Moses very seriously. But the Jewish believers here in Jerusalem have been told that you are teaching all the Jews who live among the Gentiles to turn their backs on the laws of Moses. They’ve heard that you teach them not to circumcise their children or follow other Jewish customs.

Proverbs 18:19 An offended friend is harder to win back than a fortified city. Arguments separate friends like a gate locked with bars.

Proverbs 18:8 Rumors are dainty morsels that sink deep into one’s heart.

Acts 21:27-29 They grabbed him, yelling, “Men of Israel, help us! This is the man who preaches against our people everywhere and tells everybody to disobey the Jewish laws. He speaks against the Temple—and even defiles this holy place by bringing in Gentiles.” (For earlier that day they had seen him in the city with Trophimus, a Gentile from Ephesus, and they assumed Paul had taken him into the Temple.)

Proverbs 18:13 Spouting off before listening to the facts is both shameful and foolish.

Proverbs 18:15 Intelligent people are always ready to learn.
Their ears are open for knowledge.

James 1:19 Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.

Proverbs 18:21 The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.

2 Kings 22:1-2 Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem thirty-one years. His mother was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah from Bozkath. 2 He did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight and followed the example of his ancestor David. He did not turn away from doing what was right.

2 Kings 22:8 & 11 Hilkiah the high priest said…“I have found the Book of the Law in the Lord’s Temple!” When the king heard what was written in the Book of the Law, he tore his clothes in despair.
