Welcome to church!!

We are so excited you’re joining us for worship. Whether you’re here with us in person, or tuning in online, we believe that God has a word for you today. If this is your first time visiting, or maybe you’ve been coming for a while but haven’t taken a next step to let us know, we can’t encourage you enough to fill out Connect Card at the Connect Desk in the lobby, or go to the Next Steps tab at the bottom of the screen in the Life Church app and fill a digital Connect Card in the Connet section. As always, never hesitate to let us know if there’s any specific way we can be praying for you!

1. NEVER LET THE PRESENCE OF A STORM CAUSE YOU TO DOUBT THE PRESENCE OF GOD.

When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved. After they had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up before them and said: “Men, you should have taken my advice not to sail from Crete; then you would have spared yourselves this damage and loss.” “But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed. Last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me” —Acts 27:20-23

… everyone deserted me … 17 But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength … —2 Timothy 4:16-17

I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. —Psalm 16:8

“Last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me 24 and said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.’” “So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me.” —Acts 27:23-25

2. REAL PEACE IS NOT FOUND IN THE ABSENCE OF A STORM, PEACE IS FOUND IN THE PRESENCE OF JESUS.

3. GOD WILL USE WHAT YOU LEARN IN THE STORM TO PREPARE YOU TO HELP OTHERS THROUGH THEIR STORMS.

So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. 7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. —1 Peter 1:6-7

So we will not be afraid, even if the earth is shaken and mountains fall into the ocean depths; even if the seas roar and rage, and the hills are shaken by the violence. —Psalm 46:1-3
