1. Have you taken a a significant oath or vow in your life?
2. How does the idea of taking a vow to God’s word (no matter what it says, for better or worse, etc.) strike you?
3. Pastor Robert noted that desperation can drive us to propose. Have there been desperate times in your life that have driven you to God’s word?
4. How has God provided light to your path during dark times in your life?
5. Have you previously connected Psalm 119.105 (“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”) to Jesus?

PRAY:
Lord, like the psalmist, may we commit to “follow your righteous laws” and find your word to be a light for our path. Thank you for giving us Jesus, the word who became flesh and provides light in the darkness.
